Первый альбом Мадонны, откладывался дважды, сначала она записала его с Otto von Wernherr, в 1982 отказавшись от его сотрудничества альбом перезаписывает и большинство песен из 2-й версии были включены в оригинал. Записи с Otto von Wernherr были реализованы на альбоме Early Years, записи на Gotham Records в Gotham Demos. Pre-версия альбома в Pre-Madonna и In the beginning.
